Sarah joined our team in November 2023 from the Twin Cities area. Sarah has a close connection to the Northwoods from spending her weekends and summers up in Minocqua growing up. Her passion for animals started at a young age. She decided to pursue a career with animals after spending the summers of her junior and senior years working at Wildwood Wildlife Park. She graduated from UW-River Falls with a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science with a companion animal emphasis. Sarah has worked at Chuck and Don’s Pet Food and Supplies while studying at River Falls. After College, Sarah attended Petco’s grooming academy and has been a dog groomer since 2018. While working as a groomer, she worked with a variety of different breeds and was interested in learning more about how to help with different challenges that they face. Sarah then, attended a Vet Tech Program at DCTC in Rosemount, MN. She has worked at Blue Pearl Pet Hospital- Arden Hills in ER department as a triage and vet assistant and made the jump to General Practice at Scenic Hills Animal Hospital in St Paul, MN. Sarah is happy to be closer to family and friends and spends her days off spoiling with her Jack Russell mix, two orange cats, and her ball python.
